What’s new with the second generation of OS1 – Gen 2?
128 channels of vertical resolution
The OS1 Gen 2 sensors have up to 128 channels of vertical resolution with an angular resolution of 0.35º to enhance the perception of the next generation of autonomous vehicles.
Improved precision and accuracy
Second-generation OS1 sensors improve accuracy by approximately 2x, up to ± 1cm, along with improved range accuracy to improve mapping and localization.
Shortest minimum range
The Gen 2 OS1 minimum range is reduced to 0m. The sensor captures data up to 30cm from the window and has a lock detection flag to signal when objects are within 30cm.
Wider field of view
The new generation of OS1 sensors have an expanded 45º field of view, improving spatial awareness and location for autonomous applications.
Extended dynamic range
The dynamic range of intensity and ambient data is 10 times more granular, allowing the sensor to capture more details and improve object identification.
