This solution offers a continuous way to capture not only standard spectral bands but also a spatial resolution that puts it a step ahead. With a high-resolution panchromatic camera, RedEdge-P enables higher-resolution AVR and multispectral outputs—2 cm resolution when flying at 60 m.

THE INDUSTRY STANDARD MULTISPECTRAL SENSOR

It provides a comprehensive view of plant health.

Plant Counting
Plant counting algorithms require high-resolution images. RedEdge-P combines a panchromatic lens with five high-resolution multispectral lenses, enabling the generation of high-resolution AVR and multispectral outputs and allowing plant counting, even in their early growth stages.

Disease Identification
RedEdge-P captures the critical part of the light spectrum for studying plants (712–722 nm), called the red edge band. It is in this region of the spectrum where the first signs of stress begin to appear. Using analytics generated with the red edge band, it is possible to identify diseases earlier and act faster to prevent their spread.

Phenotyping
Manually measuring plant characteristics is time-consuming. RedEdge-P’s band combination allows the generation of high-resolution multispectral outputs and enables the detection of changing characteristics at the leaf level.

Species Differentiation and Weed Detection
Some differences between species may not be visible to the naked eye. High-resolution multispectral data allows for the differentiation of species, including weeds, highlighting characteristics such as chlorophyll content, vigor, and leaf size.

Plant Mapping and Health
RedEdge-P’s high-resolution multispectral outputs allow for the generation of indices and composites to visualize individual chlorophyll levels in plants and compare them over time.

Advanced Crop Exploration
High-resolution AVR and multispectral imagery enables field exploration. In a single flight, it is possible to collect precise, geotagged information about a problem, facilitating situation assessment and determining the appropriate intervention.

Fertilizer Management
RedEdge-P’s precise, high-resolution outputs allow for easy identification of nutrient-deficient areas and help monitor the effects of fertilizer applications throughout the season, determining when and where a new application is needed.

High-resolution 3D point clouds
RedEdge-P’s 5.1-megapixel panchromatic band provides more than twice the ground resolution of the industry-standard RedEdge-MX, resulting in 3D point clouds with up to 4 times the point density.
